Preparing For Primary/Jr./Int. School
School Day
The School day at Sevenoaks commences at 8:45am and ends at 3:15pm. Teacher supervision is provided from 8:15am until 3:30pm. Aftercare is available from 3:30 until 5:00pm at a cost of $18.
Arrival And Dismissal Routines
Students in the primary division may be dropped off at their classroom, where their homeroom teacher will be typically based.

​The junior and intermediate students may be dropped off at the front entrance, using the kiss and ride loop. Parents are reminded not to leave their cars unattended on the drop-off/pick-up loop.
Recess and Nutritional Breaks
Junior/intermediate students have 1 nutritional break a day and 2 outdoor recesses, weather permitting. There will also be additional outdoor breaks dependent upon scheduling. We recommend healthy snacks that may consist of fruit, yogurt, cheese, crackers, vegetables, granola bar, etc. We also encourage the use of easy to manage, reusable containers and bags. Each child is also required to have their own water bottle that remains at school. Please have all lunch bags and containers appropriately named.

First snack and recess is from 10:05-10:35am. After the snack, outdoor recess is approximately 20-25 minutes. Lunch Recess is at 11:55-12:35pm. During this time the children eat their main lunch meal. We have a microwave available for any meals that need warming up. After lunch there is another outdoor recess for ½ an hour. Afternoon snack break is 2:00-2:15 for kindergarten and primary students only.

We are a nut free school and do not allow any nut products at our facility.
Clothing
Our uniform is casual and designed for comfort and consists of a Sevenoaks t-shirt, Sevenoaks long-sleeve (sport/winter), black pants/shorts/skirt/skorts, and a Sevenoaks black hoodie. Please label all belongings on the using a sharpie or iron on name tags. Your child will need a pair of indoor shoes for the classroom and gym use. Please provide appropriate outdoor clothing and shoes for the variety of seasons.
